Johnny Ross

Real name: John W. Ross, Jr.

Effective period / Period of releases: 1967 - 1977

US soul - R'n'B - blues multi instrumentalist (guitar, organ, bass, drums, violin), singer-songwriter from Indiana. Died on 9 February 2006.
Founding member of Baby Huey & The Babysitters. He composed two singles for the group which were "Just Being Careful" and "Monkey Man". His composition "Monkey Man" has appeared on many compilations. Ross released a few singles of his own. He also had his own cable-TV show, "The Johnny Ross Show". He provided music for two Fred Williamson (see Fred Williamson ) films, "On the Edge" and Down 'n Dirty".
