Italian orchestra formed in Turin in 1949. The nucleus of the band was formed by the same musicians who had formed the Quintetto Aster in Cagliari during the WWII working for the allied radio and Radio Sardinia: Fred Buscaglione violin, the brothers Franco Pisano guitar and Berto Pisano bass, Gianni Saiu, guitar and Carlo Bistrussu, drums. To these whre added Giulio Libano and Sergio Valenti.
