The first discographic appearance of Marc Wittmann and Thierry Van Roy in 1982, under the name of Karman, was the single "Poker", produced by LWM (Lienart - Wittmann Music) . In 1984 Marc Wittmann (vocals, guitars) and Thierry Van Roy (keyboards) founded Cleanic Pattaya together with Nathalie Willame (vocals) and Benoît Lepage (drums). They released two singles, "L’Hôpital" (1984) and "Contents! Contents!" (1985) and also started working on an album. However, the production took several years and the album remained unreleased for more than 30 years. It was released via Bandcamp in July 2020 after a general remastering along with a remix of "L’Hôpital".
