The trance group S.M.I.L.E. formed in 1990 in Berlin. The producers behind it were DJ Pushava (David Winch) from Cologne, DJ Sangeet (Andreas Karsten Pfeiffer) from Hamburg and Roland Sommer from the Ruhr area. Together they released a number of records on Gaia Tonträger and Trigger and appeared on several compilations.

This project should not be confused with Michael Kohlbecker's alias S.M.I².L.E.
