Solid Base is a Swedish-Norwegian eurodance group that enjoyed success in the mid to late 90s, originally fronted by Isabelle Heitman and Tomas Nordin, produced by Mattias Eliasson and Jonas Ericsson. The group went on a hiatus in 2004, but returned in 2014 with Camilla Alvestad (née Henningsen) replacing Isabelle Heitman (now married Hollender) as vocalist.

Isabelle Heitman is the vocalist in Solid Base. She was born in Oslo, Norway in 1972 as a Capricorn. Ever since childhood she's had a passion for singing, dancing and acting. She got a lot of support from her parents since they also used to sing, in a well known group in Norway. At age 10, Heitman and her family moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, where she started her professional career.

The rapper Thomas Nordin or Teo T is born in 1971. He was raised in Africa and has also lived in Asia. He has been a rapper for over ten years. He has alot of hopes and dreams for Solid Base. He says that life doesn't get to be much better than this because he loves being on stage and working with the producers Jonas Eriksson and Mattias Eliasson and the rest of the team around Solid Base.

Solid Base, named after a sound on a synthesizer, formed in Stockholm, Sweden as a project of Remixed Records. Their first single was released in 1994, but after several singles the breakthrough never seemed to come. However, a year and a half after its release, just when the members have started thinking about giving up, the single “Mirror, Mirror” caught on in Norway in early 1996. The success quickly spread to Finland and then other European countries, and Solid Base resumed working on the debut album, Finally. It was released in Norway on 17 June the same year, and “Mirror, Mirror” sold to gold shortly thereafter. Still failing to conquer Sweden, plans were laid out for launching the group in Japan (on Avex Trax) and other Asian countries, as well as in the USA.

By 1997, both Heitman and Nordin had moved to Norway, regarding Norway as their “solid base”. Despite bad reviews from music journalists on both sides of the Norwegian-Swedish border, several albums and singles were gold and platinum certified, and Solid Base continued to enjoy success both in Scandinavia and especially in Asia, with the debut album selling more than 85 000 copies in Japan alone. Three additional albums followed, but the success declined and after releasing a Greatest Hits compilation in 2004, the project went on hiatus for ten years.

Surprisingly after 10 years of hiatus, they returned in 2014 with a new member Camilla Alvestad from the group Reset as their lead vocalist and the original rapper Thomas Nordin. Most of the time, Reset and Solid Base toured together as Reset vs. Solid Base. They soon switched to just Solid Base.

On September 16, 2015, Solid Base released a new single called "Wet".
