Juv is a Norwegian experimental/ambient duo

Hailing from Norway, the duo of Are Mokkelbost & Maruis Von Der Fehr started around 1996, recorded he tracks in their teen years in Norway between 1996 and 1998. Soon after however, due to a personal conflict their friendship abruptly ended and the planned Juv album was never finished. Only in 2009, Are Mokkelbost started compiling the album and rediscovered hours of music, rescued from tapes in a suitcase, and later the duo of Are Mokkelbost and Maruis Von Der Fehr met again after almost 13 years of no contact, and they returned to complete the work, dissecting and selecting pieces and excerpts from the recordings, finally bringing closure to the project, and in the process rekindling their friendship. Now this lost gem is finally given its first official release, finding a home on Erik Skodvin’s entirely appropriate Miasmah imprint.
