b. November 13, 1978

London-born Australian vocalist of South African descent. Her debut single, a cover of Blue Zone (4)'s "Jackie" (released as "B.Z. featuring Joanne") became a major hit, reaching #3 on the Australian charts and earning Joanne an ARIA award for the highest selling Australian single of 1999. While she never achieved another hit as big as "Jackie", she did have several minor successes with "Busted", "So Damn Fine", "I Don't Know" and a cover of Ollie And Jerry's "Breakin' There's No Stoppin' Us" performed as a duet with Ilanda from the soundtrack the Nick Giannopoulos film "The Wog Boy". Joanne released only one album, "Do Not Disturb" in 2001.
