Real name: Ira Lee Stripling
(1898 - 1967) American old-time country musician (guitar) born in West Alabama. Bother of Charles Stripling in The Stripling Brothers. Bought a mail-order $6 guitar to accompany his brother's fiddling and developed a strong, pulsing style that complemented it well.
