Charles Kimbrough (born May 23, 1936, St. Paul, Minnesota, USA – died January 11, 2023, Culver City, California, USA) was an American actor known for having played the straight-faced anchorman "Jim Dial" in the television sitcom Murphy Brown. In 1990, his performance in this role earned him a nomination for an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series". Married to actress Beth Howland from 2001 until her death in 2015.
