French black metal band, founded in the late of 1995 in Bordeaux (33).
Formerly comprised of Alsvid (drums), Arkames (vocals) and Heimoth (guitar, keyboard), they released in 1996 a rehearsal demo "Apocalyptic Desires" and it was followed in 1997 by a second demo on MCD "By Fire, Power Shall Be", with the addition of a new bassman Faucon Noir to form the foursome. This lead to a deal with French label Season Of Mist, where they released their debut album, "Les Blessures De L’ame" (1998), which is considered as a pioneering event for the French extreme metal scene.
By 2000, Nacht (guitar) and Helldryk (bass) had joined the band and they were also signed to Osmose Productions, after they left Seasons of Mist. The year after (2001), Black Messiah had replaced Arkames and then Nacht left the band in 2002. Cyriex (guitar) joined the band and they signed a deal with Avantgarde Music the same year (2003).
