Swedish folk music violinist from Orsa, born June 20, 1945.

In his youth, Soling played both clarinet and saxophone in Leif Borgerts orkester. He did not start playing the violin until he was twenty-five years old, a very late age to start playing the violin in folk music. Then he got the fiddler Ole Hjorth as his teacher. In 1972, Soling was awarded the Zornmark in bronze and the following year the Zornmark in silver. Today he works as a violin teacher at Malung Folk High School.
