Older brother of Irving Kaufman. He formed a vaudeville act "Kaufman Bros" with his brother Philippe Kaufman (Phil).
After Phil’s death (1918), he teamed up with his younger brother Irving kaufman, under the name "Jack and Irving Kaufman".
Married to Rosina Carson Kaufman (a.k.a. Olive York), an English showgirl.
