American jazz drummer and vibraphonist. Sheppard attended Berklee College Of Music and was based in New York from the 1950s to the mid-1980s. He then moved to Houston, Texas and was based there from 1985 onwards.Born: 1 April 1928 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
