Willard Hale
A guitar player and singer from Somerset, Kentucky, came to Cincinnati in the late 1950s. He and Rusty York teamed up to play bluegrass and later rockabilly at the Old Hickory and other Cincinnati bars. They played on Jimmie Skinner’s radio show and made some personal appearances with Jimmie. In 1959, they recorded three songs which were released on Starday Records.
