Biography

Pandemia was born in La Plata, capital of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The band was created in 1992 as a band that would fuse death metal with the mystique of doom. His first demo called Pandemia was released in 1993. His work Prana Sempiterno was released in 1998 (approximately in May).


After more than ten years of collaboration with Heavy Metal bands in the city of La Plata, (Genocide was the last and best known), drummer Ricardo Massei and Bassist Javier Ringuelet decided to start a new project with a more personal and daring sound. . This is how in 1992 Pandemia was born, which soon became one of the first groups in Argentina to amalgamate the intensity of Death Metal with the mystique of Doom. The inclusion of keyboards and a soprano singer as a guest in the shows gave them an original and rich experimental side that set them apart from most bands on the local scene.

Reunited in 2007, played a couple of shows in Buenos Aires one of them supporting Obituary.

In 2018 the band met again and offered Adolfo "Wata" Heber Victoria, historical singer to return to the position, but he could not accept due to his commitments to his current band, Matan. S.A.
