North Wales 4-piece guitar band Maharishi formed whilst in Bangor Uni in 1997. They have tasted a great deal of success within the Welsh Music scene during the years with albums Stafell Llawn Mwg (2000), Merry-go-round (2001) and EP Keep Your Ear to the Ground(2003). They recently released their 3rd album, Plan B, on the Crai label and their track Ty ar y Mynydd was voted the best Welsh song of all time by a Radio Cymru poll in 2003
