Don Grashey

Real name: Dominic Michael Guarasci

Canadian songwriter, producer, manager and record company executive (November 1, 1925 - September 12, 2005).
Managed the careers of Myrna Lorrie and Carroll Baker. In 1960, Grashey and his partner Chuck Williams (4) discovered Loretta Lynn and released her first single "I'm A Honky Tonk Girl" on their Vancouver label Zero (5). In 1965 he and Williams founded Gaiety Records Ltd. and publisher D & L Music Publications. They moved the operation to Hollywood, California in 1966 but returned to Canada in 1969, setting up shop in Thunder Bay, Ontario where they founded DMG Sound Studio.

Grashey was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 1989
