Alessandro Canova is an interdisciplinary artist based in London, he works primarily with sound and computer graphics, occasionally incorporating video and photography in his practice. Under the alias Mugen, he explored the aesthetics of post modern minimalism, media corruption and sound art developing a keen interest in a zen-like aesthetic. His works aim to create a meditative dimension: a contemplation of the physical nature of sound, space and rhythm through the use of sensory stimuli close to the threshold of conscious perception.
Canova presented his work during experimental music and media festivals, performing in Italy, France, UK and Japan. He currently resides and works in London.
