Collegium Musicum Copenhagen consisted of musicians who had their everyday jobs in other orchestras, mostly in the Royal Orchestra and the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. Since the start in 1981, Michael Schønwandt was the Principal Conductor of the Orchestra.
