Real name: Hermine Lechner-Fasching née Karner

Vocalist and lyric writer, mainly for Wienerlied songs. Studied Singing, Piano and Accordion at the Konservatorium für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria. Started performing as part of the "Alpenduo Karner". The duo became Das Elite Trio with the addition of her songwriting partner Walter Lechner in 1950. Herma Karner married Walter Lechner in 1951, after which she became known as Herma Lechner. After his death she got married to Franzl Fasching, but kept performing under the name Herma Lechner. She was a member of the supervisory board of AKM Austria.
