4 piece jazzcore/thrash band started by former Gwar vocalist Joe Annaruma, former She-male encounters guitarist Paul Billbrough, and former Serial Killers (2) bassist Tom Donovan (3). The band was started in 1988, with drummer Chuck Treece of McRad playing their first few shows, as well as recording drums on 4 songs on their 1st release, the Cassette only album Freaks (1989). Treece left in 1989, with new drummer John Doyle (19) filling in and recording the last 4 songs of Freaks. Donovan left in 1990, and was replaced by David Anstein until the band broke up in 1993. In 2007, Throttle reunited with Annaruma and Billbrough, adding Kel Weston on Bass and Michael Mosley on drums.Throttle played some benefit shows, and one off performances before breaking up for good in 2010. Annaruma, Billbrough and Weston would go on to form man is doomed! in 2007, and Isolated Cockpit in 2011.
