Breaking Violet

Effective period / Period of releases: 1996

Members: Robert Kourie, Stéphane Mayrand, Stéphane Fania, Paul Jankowski

Breaking Violet was a hard rock band from Montreal, Canada active from February of 1996 to early 1999. The band formed as a result of Emissary (2) changing name to "Breaking Violet" in the middle of recording their full-length album, "Digging Up Old Bones", to avoid confusion with other bands also named "Emissary". In 1997, Breaking Violet filmed a music video for the song "Greed". Following many line-up changes, the band broke up in early 1999.
