Real name: Per Roland Forsberg

Swedish composer and church musician born 18 September 1939 in Stockholm.

Musical studies at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm during 1958-68, studying under Valdemar Söderholm, Erland von Koch and Alf Linder. Roland has numerous degrees from higher musical studies. Since 1989 he is the head organist at Immanuelskyrkan in Stockholm.

Roland Forsberg’s musical production is vast and he has composed music both for a religious setting as well as traditional classical concerto music. He has also written vocal music for works for soloists, and psalms to full ensemble choirs.

He is represented in The Swedish Psalm Book 1986 with a number of works (nos. 27, 49, 87a, 96, 208, 335, 412, 599, 627, 653, 654, 665, 667, 669 and 672).
