Dutch Composer, Organist and carillonneur. (sometimes refered to as Fokking)

Less is known of Hendrik Focking, not even when he was born, possible in 1747 in Dantzig (he died in 1796), He was blind, either by birth, or from the early youth. He was the carillon player of the Oude Kerk and Munt Tower in Amsterdam and the successor of such famous musicians as Jacob van Eyk. His only known work, is a set of six sonatas and an Easter- cantata/oratoria . The sonatas provide a good match for Wassenaer’s: they are charming and inconsequential salon trifles.
