Brazilian conductor, arranger, pianist and vibraphonist born in Bexiga, São Paulo. At 19 he was invited to play at Radio Educator Paulista and in 1938 joined Joey and His Boys on piano for Radio Tupi. At 23 he conducted his first orchestra and in 1947 became artistic director of Radio Bandeirantes, with live music programs continuing on TV from 1962, leading a successful musical career for over half a century. Died in São Paulo, aged 82. Father of Sylvio Mazzucca Jr..
