Extreme Unction is a Portuguese death/doom metal band formed in Lisbon in 1990, originally active as Guilhotina from 1987-1990. Their earlier works leaned towards a black metal sound, but they are known for their blend of death metal and doom metal. The band has a long and complex history with many lineup changes, but bassist Koja Mutilator has remained a constant member. Extreme Unction has released two studio albums: "In Limine Mortis" (1995) and "The Last Sacrament" (2015).
