Fusion

Effective period / Period of releases: 1980

Members: Nik Kershaw, Alan Clarke, Reg Webb, Kenn Elson

Founded in the 1970s by Reg Webb, Fusion was a Jazz-Funk band based around Ipswich. They made a living off playing at weddings and tried to become a commercially successful band with playing own songs at bars around Ipswich. They got a record deal at Orchid Records (6) but did manage to release their album I Ain't Signing Nothin' as "The Reg Webb Band" only in Germany and the Benelux countries because the label became bankrupt before releasing the album in the UK. A year later, the album was released in the UK as Till I Hear From You under the Fusion moniker. Due to the failed success, they split up in 1982.
