Real name: José Jesús Jara Martínez

Pepe Jara, better known as El Trovador Solitario (Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, December 25, 1928-Mexico City, July 30, 2005), was a Mexican guitarist and bolero singer, the main interpreter of the Oaxacan composer Alvaro Carrillo. His best-known interpretation is «El Andariego», although he also had a relative success with the song "La Mentira" (Se Te Olvida). In the 1950's he was part of different trios such as Los Pepes, the Trio Culiacan and Los Duendes, and he was part, along with Gilberto Valenzuela, of the Misery Duet. Later he consolidated himself as a soloist.
