Larynx

Real name: Gewrgios Zabgiakas

Larynx or LX was the very first creative alias used by Gewrgios Zabgiakas, a musician (multi-instrumentalist) from Yugoslavia. Although tentatively conceived as an organization or a cooperative, in practice the name 'Larynx' became synonymous with the activities of Zabgiakas in that period as he regularly credited himself in this way in various bands he had played in (Avyakta Sabd, Alex & LX, Lovci Na Tune, Hell Hell Hell and Other Love Songs, and HM Zene, to name just a few); also, this was the name he was known by in cassette experimentalist network. Larynx was active from 1983 to 1988, producing more than 40 tapes with different kinds of experimental music ranging from joyful racket and freeform experimentalism to industrial music and lo-fi noise recorded by a modest basic equipment on some five to six various locations.
