Czech composer, poet, hymn writer, organist, choir leader of early baroque era (c. 1600 Jindřichův Hradec – 1676, Jindřichův Hradec). Outstanding musical personality of his time. About 230 of his compositions from three Czech and two Latin collections are known today. Best known are his 3 hymn cycles, Česká mariánská muzika, Loutna česká and Svatoroční muzika. His verbal pictures are very vivid and aim to influence the senses. Also known as Adamus Wenceslaus Michna de Ottradowicz.
