Tim Perkins

Born in Northampton in 1960, Tim Perkins studied violin, viola and composition at Trinity College of Music, London and later took a Fellowship Diploma at Trinity followed with a PhD in electro-acoustic string composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

An active guitar based recording artist, Tim has enjoyed a ten year collaboration with writer Alan Moore, co-writing/producing five albums and participating in mixed media performances at a variety of venues such as The Garage in Islington, Red Lion square Holborn, and the Purcell room at London’s South bank centre.

Now based in Coventry, he is also the co-founder and resident composer of the Oxford Proms, a summer series of classical concerts in Oxford.
