In 1985 the New Wave band The Happy Hunting Ground from Beringen released their debut album 'The Happier Hunting Ground' . The band consisted of Wim Vanschooren (vocals), Marc Hemelaers (synthesizer) and Marc Leeten (guitar synthesizer). Many concerts followed. But the success did not get a follow-up. The band quickly split, but their record has become an icon in the New Wave world. That is why it has been reissued by Minimal Maximal from Fonny Jans. Noteworthy is also the very professional video clip for single 'Down' was the final work of Ludo Vangenechten. He is now a lecturer at the Television and Film Program at Luca School of Arts in Genk and owner of The Roxy Theater in Beringen.
