Following the death of guitarist Alex Nelson, long running heavy metal/shock rock act Lizzy Borden broke up in 2004.
In the wake of Lizzy Borden split, vocalist Lizzy Borden, bassist Marten Andersson and drummer Joey Scott put together a new side-project, and with the addition of guitarist Joe Steals, Starwood was formed.
Starwood released one album, 2004's "If It Ain't Broke, Break It!" on Metal Blade Records, before Lizzy Borden reformed in 2006.
