Formed in 1989 from the debris of industrial funk pranksters Traddodiad Ofnus by Mark Lugg and Gareth Potter, Tŷ Gwydr vowed to infuse the Welsh language pop scene with the energy and squelchyness of the club scene they had become so totally immersed in and to get Wales dancing.Their name is Welsh for greenhouse. Sometimes known incorrectly as Ty Gwydr.
