Swedish conductor, arranger and church musician, born September 7, 1945.

He was educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, where he graduated as an organist, cantor and music teacher in 1970. He has studied choir and orchestra conducting for Eric Ericson, Jorma Panula and Kjell Ingebretsen. Göte Widlund was elected conductor of the Swedish Singers' Association in 1977. He has extensive experience of choir conducting, and has, among other things, been the conductor for Stockholm's Student Singers, the YMCA Choir in Stockholm, the Stockholm Police Choir, the Essinge Church Choir and Högalid's Motet Choir.
