Avgrunden ("The Abyss") was a shortlived, Malmö based Swedish jazz/folk/prog rock band, playful in the vein of Samla Mammas Manna and Blå Tåget, that released a single album in 1975. They were connected with the contemporary, political "proggen" movement in Sweden, particularly in Malmö. Singer, songwriter and clarinettist Sven Olof Lorentzen, who became an author who debuted already in 1976, sang in the local dialect, sometimes reminiscing of Thomas Wiehe at the time, and multiinstrumentalist and songwriter Raimo Juntunen actually recorded with Thomas Wiehe in 1977 and 1978, as well as with Björn J:Son Lindh's Triangulus in 1985.
