Alain Karon was the leader of rock groups Modular (1979-1983), Hoo Doo (1983-85) but more known’s LES TACHES between 1982 & 2008. Multi-instrumentist, composer, author, arranger & producer in his own and other studios, Alain had worked with a lot of artists of different musical genre. Co-initiator of the Tam tams Jams on the Mont-Royal, he was also the instigator & president of l’Usine de création AKMÉ (1984-1988), a cultural hotbed for multidisciplinary creation & founder-president of the Festival international rock de Montréal (FIRM). Conceptor, coordinator & consultant, he also has his musical publishing house, Founder of Le Lab\0ratoire, 1997-2008, hotbed for social cultural development, co-founder of GRIP Montréal, for prevention on substance abuse. Alain hosted few radio shows: l’AKademie at www.radiocentreville.com (2010-2015) & The King Of Rock at ProgCore Radio (2015-16) and played drums with Les Lions Noirs in 2013-14. He’s back to deejaying as Boogy Karon, & started a new project under the name Alain Karon’s Boogy Re:Bella.
