Luis Ovalles, musician, arranger and composer of the Dominican Republic. Responsible for many of the successes of the golden age of merengue. He is the creator of a new musical structure that for more than three decades, kept him together with his orchestra, in the first places of national and international taste and that has given him a place among the classics of popular Dominican music.

Merengue by Luis Ovalles is defined by its elegant and rhythmic style thanks to the presence of the tenor saxophone. This characteristic marked the difference with the other orchestras from the first moment.
