The Gospel Four

Contemporary Black Gospel/Soul quartet from Memphis, Tennessee. Formed in 1969 by George Dean, Robert Dean, and John Whitmore, the Gospel Four (aka G4). While the lineup has changed over the years (Robert Dean died in 1980), George Dean continued to lead the actively touring group well into the late 2010s. Some of the members have included:
George Dean--Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals Robert Dean--Bas Guitar, Lead Vocals John Whitmore--Tenor, Lead Vocals James Harris--Tenor Vocals Walter Nelson--Bass Vocals Lillon Dean--Tenxor and Baritone Vocals Larry Neal--Rhythm Guitar, Bass Vocals and Jimmy Coleman--Drummer.
