Real name: Emilio Donato Uranga

Mexican composer. Emilio D. Uranga was born in Tulancingo Hidalgo 1881 and died on March 24, 1956 in Mexico City, according to Gabriel Pareyón in his dictionary of Mexican music. He also adds that Emilio was born in 1833 in Mexico City and conducted orchestras at the Iris theater and at the Ideal theater. In 1922 he presented his first composition, a fox trot called "Hawaiana", with lyrics by Ángel Rabanal. Hired by the businessman Pepe Campillo, Emilio D. Uranga directed the orchestra of the Teatro Lírico. He wrote part of the parody Bataclán de París or Mexican rataplán for which he composed the march "La guardia blanca". His most famous song is the dance "La negra noche" that he composed in 1926, although he is also the song "Lindo Michoacán", composed in 1930
