Born in 2008, the band is from the underground local Funk scene of Lyon (France).
The Band is composed of 8 members, musicians and singers. Kâshif Kroch' and Bumpy T.T. were from the very beginning of this band and step by step other members have been added to the group. The songs are composed and arranged by Kâshif Kroch', Jenny Lord, Push and Omar & the writters are Kâshif Kroch', Bumpy T.T. & Hadia.
Their styles are Funk, Boogie, Modern Soul, they're from the Modern Funk Movement.
Kâshif Kroch' & Bumpy T.T. create R.$.J.Recordz (an underground Funk label specialized in unreleased stuff from the 80's) & Boogie Foxx Records & Tapes (specialized in Modern Funk).
The band performed various live shows and showcases in Lyon, Paris, with a tour of California, USA, with the Funk Freaks.
The Funky Drive Band has been an opening act for groups such as the B.B.&Q.Band, Junior Giscombe, Carmen, Ago (the band played with him on stage too)...
