Lo Còr De La Plana is a group of male polyphonies that sings in the Occitan language. The group was born in 2001 in the La Plana district of Marsella.
Although its musical base is based on the traditional Provençal repertoire, the group also experiments with Mediterranean music integrating instruments such as the bendir (frame drum). Beyond its own cultural references, the musical universe of Lo Corazón de la Plana is influenced by groups ranging from the Ramones to The Velvet Underground.
Although the songs on the first disc were interpretations of traditional music, the texts on the second disc were mostly his own creations.
