During the 1970s and 1980s, Theodore appeared regularly on many different talk and variety shows on TV including Dick Cavett, Mike Douglas, and Merv Griffin. She is perhaps best remembered for her appearances with Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, making more than 50 guest appearances.
She was nominated for Broadway's 1975 Tony Award as Best or Supporting Actress (Musical) for "Shenandoah."
