American jazz pianist born 1938 in New York City, New York. Son of composer/arranger Billy Moore, Jr. In addition to heading his own trio and playing with many jazz luminaries over the span of four decades, he also performed in the Middle East as a Jazz Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. Since 1985 has lived in Berlin, Germany with his wife, jazz singer and composer Cornelia Moore, where he is a teacher at Jazz Institute Berlin/Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik.
