Bryan, Texas musician (January 17, 1937- November 28, 2010) who formed The Country Nu-Notes while in high school and devoted his life to the Country Music that he has always been involved with. Through all of his Air Force commitments, he managed to keep the Nu-Notes going strong for well over 30 years. Johnny was the former owner of the Melody Ranch in Waco, Texas and the Texas Hall of Fame in Bryan, Texas.

He served in the United States Air Force as a pilot and decorated officer with Four Clusters to the Air Medal and the distinguished Flying Cross, He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
