Louis Scherr is an American jazz pianist who graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. He had been performing with various highly acclaimed artists, including James Moody, Claudio Roditi, Joe Henderson, Joshua Redman, Dave Valentin, Rick Margitza, Lou Donaldson, Roy Haynes, Pepper Adams, Valery Ponomarev, and Buck Hill. From 1990 to 1994, Louis led the Partner In Time quintet (formerly a Soviet-American Jazz Quartet, or Jazznost). The ensemble released two albums and gave concerts in the USA, Canada, Western Europe and Russia.
