Snuff Johnson
Real name: Alfred Johnson
Texas country blues artist, born in Pearland, Texas, in 1913. Johnson began playing guitar at age 12.Johnson settled in Austin, Texas, in 1945. He began playing informally in the 1950s and 1960s and started recording in the 1980s. These recordings were released in 1994 and Johnson began performing in earnest at venues around Austin.
Johnson died in January 2000.
