American singer (born July 5, 1923 in Birmingham, Alabama)

Cecelia Meshad was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Her family moved to Long Beach, California in 1933. As a high school student she performed in glee club and as a featured guest singer in local church services. In 1942 she married Marshall Julian. In the 1950's she recorded numerous cover songs of popular hits on the Broadway Records (2) label under her married name, Ceci Julian. She also performed in local musicals with the Singers' Workshop, later to become the Long Beach Civic Light Opera.
