Swedish singer and riksspelman (national folk musician), born July 8, 1959 in Öjebyn.

She grew up in Boda church village in a genuine folk music environment. Her father is the folk musician Jonas Röjås and her mother the singer Anna Nygårds.

She received a scholarship from the Swedish Folk Music Fund to learn to "kula" with Karin Edvardson-Johansson in Sörsjön. Röjås has studied classical music and singing at several schools and has a degree as a singing teacher at the Stockholm Academy of Music. Since the 1980s, she has worked as a folk singer and singing teacher at Malung Folk High School.

In 1989, she was appointed riksspelman (national folk musician) in "kulning".
