Andrey Shkolin (born January 27, 1968) is a Russian chanson singer-songwriter, born in Krasnoyarsk. The first songs he began to write while still at school, the first group with which he began to work at that time was Orient Express. After graduating from school, Andrey Shkolin entered the Krasnoyarsk Civil Engineering Institute. But he spent most of his time in the rehearsal room - as a result, he was expelled for poor progress and went to serve in the Army. Upon his return from the Armed Forces, he participates in various rock and bard festivals that were then held in the USSR. In 1988, as the leader of the Siberian Link group, in 1989 he recorded the album "You drink, brother, drink!" in the studio of Slava Medyanik, then in 1992 the album "Crazy Organ Grinder" was recorded. In mid-1992, Andrey Shkolin ended up in a prison in the city of Voronezh, where in cell No. IZ 31/1 a new album “Indian Summer Flirts” was written in a year, which included the song that became the artist’s “calling card” - “Silence Over the Voronezh Prison” . Released in 1993, he records the album “Indian Summer Flirts” and sends it to Moscow, from where it diverges throughout the country. From 1993 to 1999, Andrei Shkolin lived in Western Europe, where he did not study music. In 1999 he returned to Russia, to Krasnoyarsk, where he recorded the album "Comrade Lebed, you are a great scientist", which was not distributed. In 2001, he finished recording the album "You will put your hands on my shoulders." In 2002, a double disc “In a good hour” was released in Moscow and Andrei Shkolin moved to Moscow for permanent residence. In 2003, the album "Siberia" was released. In 2004, Andrey opens his own label "Master Disc Records" and releases a new album. In 2005 he published the magazine "Chanson - free song".
